Coca-Cola Robot

For over 140 years Coca-Cola has been driving innovation. From the original beverage formula, to point-of-sale pioneering, to supporting equipment showcasing the product in a desirable way. Fountains, coolers, dispensers — through all of these advancements, the relationship with beverage consumer and artifact has been one way — until now.

Cobot is an entirely new artifact for the company. For the first time it allows a conversation between consumer and ‘equipment’. Catching attention, interacting with people, reacting to movements, voice and facial expressions. I worked on Industrial Design along side with R&D team and our Silicone Valley partner in robotics to bring this to life.

GOOD THINGS COME IN PAIRS

For logistical reasons, we decided it’s best to build and use two machines at the same time. That way, when these Cobots are out in the marketplace, the operating team can ensure one robot is stocked while the empty unit gets refilled.

Cobot was created as a mobile vending machine that engages consumers in a fun way and enhance consumer sampling experience while providing delightful moments to our connected next-generation consumers. I joined the team and became responsible for the industrial design of Cobot.
